I DIRECT
THE UNREAL.

I am Chris Raw, an AI film director and visual artist based in Mallorca, working worldwide. I interpret each project to create its visual universe, the scenes and the events within it, then shape the film through movement, editing, sound and color.

A FILM NEEDS
A POINT OF VIEW.

My work starts with interpreting the information I receive and the context around it. From there, I develop the idea, create the world it belongs to and decide what happens inside it. The environments, characters, atmosphere and action all grow from that interpretation.

I build each scene around what it needs to express. A gesture, a camera movement or a change in light can shift its meaning. I work on those details while keeping the characters, spaces and visual language coherent throughout the film.

My work began by creating my own visual experiments online. One of those films passed 14 million views and became the foundation of DARKMODE, the visual language I continue to refine. That public response opened the door to commissioned work for artists, record labels and brands.

FROM INTENT.
TO FINAL CUT.

  1. 01READ THE INTENT

Interpret the brief, music, references and context. Define what the piece should communicate and the creative direction it needs.

  2. 02CREATE THE WORLD

Develop the spaces, characters, atmosphere and events. Establish the palette, textures and light that give this universe its identity.

  3. 03DIRECT THE SCENES

Decide what happens in each scene and how to show it. Shape the framing, gestures and movement while maintaining continuity across shots.

  4. 04SHAPE THE FILM

Select and order the shots, interpret their relationships and refine the rhythm. Work the transitions, sound and color until the piece holds together.

The edit defines how the story is experienced. The same shot can suggest something different depending on the image before it, the sound beneath it or the moment it appears. I work with those relationships to decide what to reveal, where to hold the tension and what to leave out.

PROCESS,
WITHOUT THE MYSTERY.

I publish what I learn while directing real projects: continuity, visual systems, AI B-roll and release strategy.
